Happy New Year!
I wanted to share a positive story about one of our players.
Earlier this season, 16-year-old Kyle Fundytus, a
Canadian hockey player for the South Side Athletic Club’s Don Wheaton Midget AA
team in Edmonton, Alberta was tragically killed when struck in the neck while
blocking a puck during a game. He passed away November 13, 2011.
Kyle
(K.C.) Brewer, a bantam player for the Pinedale Glacier Hockey Club wanted to
do something to recognize the fellow hockey player. Brewer, along with his
parents Keith and Dana Brewer, contacted Phil and Amy Belveal of Belveal Signs
and asked if they could create a sticker for hockey helmets to honor Kyle
Fundytus. The Belveal’s graciously donated the first 100 stickers. Brewer is
passing out these stickers all across Wyoming to every team and age level in
order to recognize this fallen hockey player.
